Mechanical watches are usually divided into two kinds: Hand-tighten and automatic.The motion of these two kinds mechanical watches are usually from the winders in the movements,and then bring the gears,next bring the watch hands,but the difference is the way of the origins of motion.The mechanical watches that are hand-tightened are tightened by hand,the thickness of the movement is usually thinner than automatic mechanical watches,so the weight of the whole watch is lighter than automatic ones.And as for the automatic watches,they use the swinging of the automatic plate at the bottom of the movement to produce motion to bring the winders on to produce energy,but the automatic watches are usually thicker than hand-tightened ones.
The Advantages and Disadvantages of Mechanical Watches
The advantage of the mechanical watches is that we could use them for a long time if we do the care and oil washing for regular time.The disvantages are that they are not as precise as the quartz watches and it will also cause deviations because of the different making qualities and the influence from the gravity of earth to the inner movement of watch.Usually,the deviations of mechanical watches are counted by seconds of day and those of quartz watches are counted by second of month.
