News leads:July 20,1969.It was the first time that human went up to the moon ,this is an immense action took by human beings.At four to three according to Greenwich Standard Time on July 21,Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon.19 minutes later, Buzz Aldrin also set foot on the moon,He wore a super watch of Omega,Legend came from this.There is an intersting additional chapter:at that time the electronic timer system in lunar module ran wrongly,so Armstrong let his watch in the cabin,become the reliable spare timer.

In honour of this exploration,Omega release two specialty moon watch :Apollo 11’s 40 years limited version :steel watch and 925 silver medal (only 7969),platnum watch and 24K gold medal(only 69).

This idiomatical watch carried Omega famous 1861 model cassette mechanism used by super speciality watch made in that year.1861 model cassette mechanism is the same series as 321 model cassette mechanism.watchcase and watch chain adopts steel,watch chain is improved further,configure Omega patent chain and pin system.
Black dial also let us think back to prototype moon watch,but it has it’s own feature.Small second hand dial adopts badge picture,evolved from the famous apollo 11 task badge :glede flies to the surface of the moon,claws of the glede catch olive branch that represent peace,above moon horizontal line,though the earth is far away ,it is high-visiable.What is more interesting:this icon was desighed by Michael-Collins who was the pilot in command module of Apollo 11.When Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin drove the lunar module then landing on the moon,Collins was working in the command module of Apollo 11.
